I'm gonna run off and join the circus!!

There's a Circus Arts studio in NYC.

I know what I'm doing this summer!

....we just won't tell them I'm blind, okay? They'll never notice!

Who's with me!?

Blah blah blah - life's not always awesome, but it's not always awful, either. Besides, there are work arounds.

How'd you find out about it, anyway?

Yeah, I know. Whining over. I just really hate those two options.

Internet. It's what's for dinner.

At least you have the option to hide that you are a mutant, Matt. Many of us do not.

Yeah, you're right. And I'm not trying to say I WANT to hide, even though yeah, I see where it comes off that way. It's just frustrating I guess to be a mutant where you can't really PROVE your powers. Mine aren't noticeable. So even when I tell people it's kinda like "uh huh, okay, whatever."

So other than being really sharp, do you look odd or something? I've never asked and unless someone specifically mentions it or I can touch them and feel a difference, I never think anyone looks out of the ordinary. Sorry, my blind is showing.

It did sound like you wanted to be able to hide your mutancy, but if you did not mean it, that is all right by me.

As for what I look like, my skin is dark red, my eyes are a sort of glowing neon blue and my fingers and toes are very long and sharp, like claws. Usually my hair (which is also dark red) is spiky also, but most of the time it is sort of stiff, like fine wire.

Well, the kids at Salem HS know I'm a mutant and there was a lot "show us what you do!" when I started classes there. And it's like "uh...your heart's beating quickly..." which is lame and most of them thought I was making it all up anyways. So an entirely different set of problems come from not being able to prove your powers vs being an obvious mutant.

I can't really imagine that. Huh. I'll have to kinda think on that I guess, since I can't touch you.
