So...I'm 16 today. What am I getting for my birthday? Summer school.

I got held back in school when I lost my sight, plus I've had a few scholastic detours in the past few years, which is why I'm turning 16 but am a freshman in high school. Well, I've had a bunch of meetings with my social worker, psychologist, doctors, teachers....pretty much everyone I've ever met and they agreed - if I go to summer school this summer and next summer, I might be able to catch up and graduate at 18. And I agreed too. Fast forward a year of high school if not more? Bitchin'.

I just gotta stay out of trouble between now and then. That's gonna be the hard part.

Ugh, summer school. But I guess summer school's probably not so bad when you're taking it to catch up, not to redo classes you already took. So you'll do a bit of extra school now to not have to do it later!
