I DROVE A CAR. Seriously. I got to drive! Wade was with me with a special double brake and it was absolutely nowhere so I couldn't hit anything and the windshield was out so I could hear things better, but I DROVE!!
And Lorna made me cookies. Best birthday EVER! 17 is going to be a good year!

where did the year go?
May. 9th, 2012 03:42 pmI have officially been at the mansion for a year now. Actually, a year and a few weeks, but who's counting? Doesn't seem like that long actually. And it seems like forever.
My social worker came by last night to take me out to dinner and gave me a birthday gift since my birthday is tomorrow. $25 to itunes. Go me :) Now I need music suggestions.

So...I'm 16 today. What am I getting for my birthday? Summer school.
I got held back in school when I lost my sight, plus I've had a few scholastic detours in the past few years, which is why I'm turning 16 but am a freshman in high school. Well, I've had a bunch of meetings with my social worker, psychologist, doctors, teachers....pretty much everyone I've ever met and they agreed - if I go to summer school this summer and next summer, I might be able to catch up and graduate at 18. And I agreed too. Fast forward a year of high school if not more? Bitchin'.
I just gotta stay out of trouble between now and then. That's gonna be the hard part.
